Harmonic measure, Riesz transforms, and uniform rectifiability

ABSTRACT | In this talk I will review some recent results on harmonic measure where the connection between Riesz transforms and rectifiability plays an essential role. In particular, I will recall a converse of the Riesz brothers theorem and the solution of the so-called two phase problem. I will also explain a more recent result on a characterization of uniform rectifiability in terms of Carleson estimates for bounded harmonic functions which is based on a corona decomposition involving harmonic measure. Some of these results are collaborations with J. Azzam, J. Garnett and M. Mourgoglou.
